We started Legal River to help small businesses find lawyers. We have the felt the pain ourselves of trying to find the right lawyer and we set out to create a better solution. Based on requests from lawyers users, Legal River has since expanded to help lawyers find other lawyers. We’re always looking for fresh ideas and feedback on how to improve, so please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Zach Girod Co-Founder
Zach Girod focuses his talents on the technology and operations of Legal River. His primary goal is to ensure that the user’s experience is as productive and intuitive as possible. Zach is experienced in designing and building enterprise applications, always making sure that operations support the technology.
Zach earned his MBA from the University of Maryland and his BS in Computer Science from Tulane University. Zach is an avid runner and an American history buff.

Ben Hatten Co-Founder
Ben focuses on the marketing and business development of Legal River. Prior to creating Legal River with Zach, Ben worked in marketing and strategy roles at companies of varying sizes. He grew up in the Washington DC area, and has worked on both coasts.
Ben earned his MBA from the University of Maryland and his BA of from the University of Notre Dame. Ben is an avid tennis player and is a die-hard Notre Dame fan.
